We always tease my brother that he’s our mom’s favorite–to the point where he is dubbed “The Favorite” in family albums, etc. He uses the title to his advantage (all in good fun) whenever he can (Mom’s in her late 70s and even plays along now). I could see him getting this plate as a family joke.

When my kids were young they often asked which one of them was my favorite. That’s when I came up with having a “favorite firstborn” and a “favorite second born”! 😉 No sibling rivalry here! 😉
