31,536,000 seconds.

it has been one year

since the global pandemic coronavirus began to shut much of our nation down

so much loss and so many sacrifices and lessons learned

everyone waiting for a return to fully living life

with hope on the horizon.

“there are 31,536,000 seconds in a year. i am counting down every second.”

  1. It seemed longer than that — and it was. There really are 31,536,000 seconds in a normal year, but 2020 was a leap year, so it had 31.622.400 seconds.

  2. I count Friday the 13th as the one year mark… That’s when, for us, everything shut down. Crazy year we’ve had – all of us – around the world!

  3. On March 8, 2020 my wife and I were at the airport in Seattle – heading home after flying in a day earlier for my Mom’s birthday…there was a strange sense of dread in the boarding area as people quietly discussed this “virus” that had settled in on the city, unsure of what was next…little did we know that two days later the world would shut down…

      • I thought that maybe it was your flare for creative writing. Most people don’t notice that type of typo. I don’t know why my brain always sees it. Then I am never sure if I should say something or not.
        I always love your posts.

        • yes, some are very good at that, adding a poetic or dramatic effect, this one was simply a tired brain that refused to see it, on my part. we are our own worst editors at times. trust me when I tell you that I appreciate it when someone says something or asks about it. thank you!
