on international dog day
deep into the dog days of summer
i’m reminded of one of my all time favorite movies
‘dog day afternoon’
incredible acting
unbelievable
and inspired by
a true story.

I really enjoyed that at the cinema in 1975. I only saw it that once though, so must look out for it to appear on TV one day.
Best wishes, Pete.

As my timeline of life seems to go these days, Beth, I feel as if I just saw Al in this one a couple of years ago, not a half-century …

So co-star John Cazale appeared in five films before he died of cancer…every single one of them was nominated for Best Picture of the year and three won: The Godfather, The Godfather Part II and The Deer Hunter. His girlfriend who nursed him through his illness by the way was Meryl Streep.

Very moving. Sonny wasn’t the the coldest tool in the fridge, but he had a huge heart.

Pretty sure I saw it but I don’t remember anything about it. It’s one of those golden oldies that might be streaming somewhere. I’ll have to watch for it.
