Only mask I ever wore as a kid was the Lone Ranger type. But I suppose I’ve worn others too, such as “I like you” and “I’m am confident.”

I was a tv one Halloween. Just my arms and legs stuck out. So I guess it was my mask and all I had to do was ‘Change Channels’ to be someone, something else!

We go shopping early in the morning. I think I saw a couple of those made-up faces in the grocery store. “Who gets all dolled up to pick up a few veggies, meat and milk? What else are they wanting to pick up? The meat man in his soiled white apron?” says she who throws on her tee-shirt and jeans that probably haven’t been washed for a week.

That mask is creepy, the beginnings of a horror story. Can you tell I just read Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart?” I was trying to get inspiration for a scary-themed freelance writing assignment. I wasn’t inspired and went a completely different direction. Just wrapped up my column on unscary cemeteries.
