how wonderful to see my grandson play thesues, the duke of athens

in his school’s performance of:

William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

what a vibrant show

delivered by such a playful and passionate troupe.

‘sometimes I was in school plays,

but only when the kid they’d originally picked got sick and they asked me to substitute.’

  1. Congrats! Standing on stage and performing takes “guts” (to use an unsophisticated word). I feel the same when my granddaughter performs in her acro(batic) ballet competitions. I would have been cowering in the corner! Peter Falk’s success was showing little emotion in his fun TV mysteries, probably not appreciated by his “theater teacher” at the time. :-)

  2. Watching school productions are great. Kids put so much imagination and care into it with the limited resources they have, so it’s often even more creative. Congrats to your grandson!
