whenever and wherever you need a library
look closely
you may find one in the most unlikely of places
whether deep in the woods, alongside a curb,
or myriad other places
they are all around you just waiting to be discovered.

Coincidentally, I went to the Geelong West Library today to drop off my book “Until Eyes Hear Sound,” which has been accepted by the Geelong Regional Libraries, Collections Department, for cataloguing and will soon be available at the Library.

We have a recent tradition of old defunct phone boxes being turned into free mini-libraries. People are encouraged to leave books they have read and take books that interest them. https://nothingintherulebook.com/2018/11/03/british-phone-box-libraries/
Best wishes, Pete.

As a fellow public library staffer, I always love a shoutout to libraries. And little free libraries are such a wonderful community-led initiative. 💕

A huge fan of libraries really love the ones close to me! I’ve used them my entire life and I love the little library is popping up everywhere so everyone has access to something

Apparently people register their Little Free Libraries because they show up on maps. I now schedule walks and runs around where they are located (I visited two yesterday). They are one of the reasons I usually wear a small backpack. I deposit more than I take as one way to downsize my collection.

I love libraries wherever they are. But I’ve never seen one deep in the woods.

it was so exciting to find two of them there, this is one of my favorite parks here. it’s a large arboretum with many landscapes and right in the heart of the city, making you forget where you are.

Libraries are a bit of heaven. Paradise, actually. In my writing classes I go around the room and ask students about their favorite library (these are adults 50+). They all glow as they describe one – and usually they have more than one favorite!
