deep within the winter forest
among the snowdrift wide
you can find a magic place
where all the fairies hide.

I like the door to their house. I would be tempted to knock to see if they were at home.
Best wishes, Pete.

Cute :) There’s a fairy house at the base of a tree in our neighborhood. It’s fun to see, and I like that the fairies decorate for some holidays.

do you think Faries hibernate as squirrels and bears do or do they dance under the winter stars around a bonfire? any evidence of fairy feet? whatever they do i hope they are warm and nourished.

I kind of left them to their peace, but I imagine they are well

Love the whimsical magic of this post and photo. I also have these imaginative thoughts when I see colourful and big mushrooms in the forest and think what little magical creatures must seek shelter in these homes!

Ah, yes, I love fairies. Beth, you would’ve enjoyed the tiny snow people I made in my winter walk in the woods (each representing a family member :-) 🩵

I don’t have a tree in my yard big enough to comfortably house fairies. But I imagine they have some pretty fabulous homes on the mountainsides west of here.
