That’s a lovely artwork, Beth. Good to see it out in public too.
Best wishes, Pete.

This is a beautiful metal sculpture (or is glass?)! Blue herons are such beautiful birds and always a treat to spot them by the lake.

Beautiful sculpture! Did you make that heron?

no, I wish that I could say I did, but it was from a local artist, credited at the bottom of the blog

I have been painting and doing crafts for 25 years….. I wonder Beth, if I could figure out how to make a sculpture like the heron?
Anyway I would love to teach others how to do these sort of things.
Have a nice weekend!

Agreed. I’ll ask my nephew when I can if this would require welding or soldering. as the legs of the heron appear to be composed of steel or some other type of metal. I’ll write about it on my WP Blog if I can figure it out.

Good news. I found out that steel and metal sculptures do require welding.
A skill I’d like to learn in the future. For now I will see if the art of wire sculpture will work for me.
Thank you so much for writing this article!

That’s one of the best metal sculptures I have seen! I used to have one come to our yard until he ate all my pond fish. 🤣
