February is Black History Month 

The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship in American society.

  18. I am so fearful that this and along with alot of other hard fought advances in American society..notably civil rights, will soon be gotten rid of. We are only just beginning to witness the demolition of our democracy and it hasn’t even been a full month.
    Thank-you for posting this. We all need to keep being reminded of our sometimes tragic American history so we can stop any attempts to take us right back there. Chris

    • I feel confident that this and other hard fought advances will not be forgotten. it is up to us to share the history with those who come after us, even if some people try to erase it.
