discovering a tiny nest tucked away
made
step by step
a little little bit at a time
until
at last
this became
a safe and comforting home
a place to grow and thrive
and fly
when the time is right.

‘*little by little, the bird makes its nest.’

We are lucky to have similar nests in our front hedges. Always a joy to see them coming and going with building materials.
Best wishes, Pete.

In a hurry-up world, slowing down to enjoy the simplicity (& complexity) of a bird building a nest can put things in perspective.

Watching birds built their nests is fascinating. We used to have mourning doves building nests on our front porch.

How exciting. It’s been many years since I’ve watched a bird building a nest or been able to see the eggs.

How wonderful to discover the nest. I’m hoping for quail nests in the yard and cardinal babies soon.

This is so cute. You know the birds feel safe when they also leave their young eggs in the nest. Life is so so precious and this was a precious moment! 💕🙏

I hope they make it. Many animals like squirrels, raccoons, rats, snakes, and even other birds eat eggs.

and you have excellent eyes AND use them! so lovely. it seems placed VERY low though. My dachsie was ‘specialised’ in finding low lying nests and then much barking ensued….
