  1. Forgive me if this is a repeat, beth. I entered a comment a while back and am trying again.

The children are wonderful, of course: bright, articulate, poised, charming. Their interview is a delight to see. But I am most struck by the remarkable nature of this quietly heroic leader. He’s borne such terrible burdens for more than three years now, confronting evil every day. And yet his humanity shines through, seemingly intact despite the tragedy and sorrow and nearly impossible responsibilities he shoulders. He’s kind and patient and warm and encouraging toward these young interviewers, urging them to remain hopeful for the future. How fortunate we are to be able to see the grit and grace of true leadership.
