the bats were hot today!

the Detroit Tigers broke their six game losing streak with a big win (10-4)

against our friendly northern neighbors, the Toronto Blue Jays

at a very, very hot summer game

we had to walk around a lot 

just to feel a slight breeze

drink some cool beverages

eat some cool ice cream

share a bit of shade

with our fellow fans

but in the end

there was that hot win!

  17. Oh my gosh! I haven’t been to a baseball game in ages! I really need to go one of these summer days! It sounds like you had a great time in spite of the heat! And a win no less! Perfect ending to a perfect day!

  20. Just went to a game two weeks ago in Sacramento with a buddy. The A’s lost their lease in Oakland and are playing in Sacramento for the next couple of years before moving to Las Vegas. They are not the Oakland A’s, the Sacramento A’s, or the Las Vegas A’s. They are just the A’s for now.

  22. The weather has been unbearable this week. I read it’s a record 5th heat wave in a single summer for us. Congrats to your team! The Blue Jays have been on fire for us this summer and people have been excited for their chances (last won the Series over 30 years ago).
