  1. I do not and will not have grandchildren. Resisting can be in different forms/ways. Find what you are comfortable doing and maybe resist a little more next time. I can then tell myself – I didn’t stay silent.
I do so admire your get-up-and-go.

  2. And I need to tell my grandchildren I did not remain silent. Thank you for protesting, Beth. It is our obligation to let our voices be heard whether via protesting, writing, contacting our elected officials, etc. As a massive number of ICE agents descend on Minnesota (as I type), I expect protests to ramp up in my state. And I fear even more for my Somali and Latino neighbors in Minnesota, including in my community.

    • yes, I think of you often and how you use your words and photos to tell this story about what is going on, in your state as well as the country. your state in particular is a target at this time, and each day it seems to escalate. I feel for your immigrant neighbors, for your political leaders, such good people, and for all of you who are under pressure from this horrible regime right now. keep writing and sharing pictures, you are a great voice for the people.

      • Thank you for your supportive and loving words, Beth. I deeply appreciate them considering all we are experiencing in Minnesota right now. Several hours ago I published a second post for the day. Inside The Land of Plenty under “the king’s rule.” I don’t typically publish two posts in one day. But this was the exact day, five years since the insurrection, that I needed to get this out there.

  3. Thank you Beth for setting a great example for all of us. Such dark times we’re in and I’m comforted knowing there are folks like you out there protesting this insane time.

  4. I, too, have already posted twice today (something I’ve never done before) and it’s not even noon …
Given our ridiculously mild weather, I should be out on the street somewhere with a sign or ten. Great idea you’ve got there!

  5. Fantastic, Beth! And I agree, we need to be role models for our kids and grandkids. We are the ones who sow the seeds for their future. Well done, Beth, and I hope many others do it like you.
