home at last, and walking downtown, i passed one of our most interesting stores.
the name really speaks for itself.
——————
The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, is a classification of vices that has been used since early Christian times to educate and instruct them concerning fallen humanity’s tendency to sin. In the currently recognized version, the sins are usually given as wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.
now – if they just added in a taco bell all-you-can-eat bar, with super-sized slushy drinks, comfy sofas with cup-holders, remotes and unlimited trashy tv, mirrors, free spa services, and marriage arbitration, i think you could partake in all of the deadly sins under one roof. kind of like a 7 deadly sins strip mall or theme park. one-stop shopping. i can only imagine the ads.

There is no sin except stupidity.

Remote control panties could be used in a non sinful fashion such as…sending them to the washer and ‘remoting’ them back to your lingerie drawer? HA!
“kind of like a 7 deadly sins strip mall or theme park. one-stop shopping” — LOVE that line.

you probably learnt over here a thong is – a thong – a flip flop? We call them G(strings) not one you find on a guitar either. I laughed at this – each to their own, the one stop shop indeed…erm what the heck are remote control panties though?? Press a button they drop to your ankles?

yes, that’s true about the thongs down under – turn on something besides your tv with the remote panties perhaps?

I thought this side of you was even more hilarious than other funny posts you have written! Love the sign, the list of the original sins and the new “updated version!!” LOL! I have to admit, I would want to at least once walk through this one stop strip mall! Curiosity will be the ‘death of me!’

It would be worth it to get a job at that shop just so you could list it on your resume.

I think also they would find that some of the frequent users of such a mall would be the ones you least expected to find there – I was amazed when i lived in the states and attended church regularly how many church people and especially pastors were overweight – obese even – also that listening to any music other than christian music was considered a sin – and yet everyone watched soap operas and other “junk” television – hey dont get me wrong people should be allowed to do what they want – i just think its VERY interesting how churches focus so much on “being gay” and condemn us as sinners when the bible says a whole lot more about gluttony and other stuff – what do you think?
sorry i havent looked at your site for a while and been a bit invisible – i have been unwell and have been languishing martyr-like in my bedroom – my girlfriend tells me I make a lousy patient lol

oh so true, it is always the ones who espouse the hatred and fear and closed minds, who are partaking in the very things they rail against. i think they are railing against the parts of themselves that they hate and cannot accept, and would be better off just being honest with themselves about it and stop hurting others in the process of their own denial. no worries about your time offline, hope you feel better soon, languish away – beth
