The quote it’s right – but I still believe we should take focus on all the good moments we shared with those we lost and how lucky we are because of those memories and not focus too much about the miss itself – I know it’s easier said than done, but I still believe it’s the way.
I feel badly since I have my Dad’s voice on a tape, just grateful I also have two silly messages on my voicemail from my Mom. The last time we may have seen an old friend, or a distant family member may be forgotten in the details but the ‘essence’ is always there. The heart of the person shines through the foggy memories, Beth. Such a sweet quote, though!
When I read something like this beth it reinforces my decision to drink more coffee and eat dessert first, because you never know when it’ll be your last. 😉
Grandma didn’t want any of us grandkids to see her in the last few months of cancer, so that we wouldn’t remember her frail and bald, but vibrant and bold!
.. and yet the feelings of that moment never die ❤

Certain memories remain sharp as a tack, Beth, lovely forever though someone has departed. I hope your memories are lifting your heart.
