amelia earhart and eleanor roosevelt
once sneaked (yes, sneaked) out of a white house event,
commandeered an airplane, and went on a joyride to baltimore.

There is a plaque commemorating Amelia Earhardt’s flight across the Atlantic where she landed, about an hour away from where we live. We lived nearby, up to about 8 years ago, and often visited the spot. So I guess that you are at the beginning of her flight and we are at the end.
I’ll have to see if I have a photo to share.

I can just see my of my favorite writers as well as being the First Lady of the free world and the up and coming Amelia Earhart sneaking out of the white house to go for a joy ride not in a car but an AIRPLANE!!!! What fun. Enjoy October Beth!!!

I love to come visit your blog! Uplifting.
Now, on to these two here 😛 This had me cracking up. What a pair! And the furs, right? I guess, if you had a fur, it was a good thing to wear on a plane in those days 🙂
