Beth, I discovered Roald Dahl when I lived in England. I adored his wit, his meanness, and have bought all his children books in a colourful collection box. One or two of them I’ve given away but now I don’t know anybody reading English children books. Dahl also wrote some pretty hair-rising and mean stories for adults. :)

  i love everything he’s ever written. i have read some to my classes, talking about how the children and animal characters are usually better acting than the adults in his stories, and how there is a bit of magic in all of them, along with his wonderful made up words. i read his short stories for adults, and wow!
