as merely an observer of the event
I’d have to guess
that she when she arrived at the store
perhaps with the intention
of buying a tea towel
she did not plan to leave
with a giant metal chicken
and may have even worried
that if she did not buy it today
someone else might come along
and find
they too could not live without it
one day longer.
life is funny that way.

I might have wrestled her for it. It’s a good thing she stuffed it in her car before I could get there. 😆

That makes me assume they are very proactive about Halloween…or as you said, an impulse buy like no other!

Now I wonder… Did she think it was a giant metal turkey she couldn’t live without, and how will she explain it to the clerk when she tries to return it? 🙂

I would have been the opposite. Going to the store to buy the giant metal chicken and then picking up a few tea-towels on an afterthought.

This made me giggle! (Mostly because I see myself in it, minus the giant metal chicken.) 😆
