I like this but have mixed feelings because although you cannot fault the attitude but it’s also true that over-confidence can take you out into weather or on adventures you will not survive so a “Can do” spirit with of common-sense might be advisable. Sorry to be so cautious

luckily, the playground is a pretty safe travel space. as for us, today was just declared a snow day for schools, teachers included! earliest winter storm ever for michigan. most people are quite used to the snow here and exercise caution when driving, but the first snow everyone starts over –

We don’t have big snow on the north Oregon coast, but we do have big wind. My attitude is: be smart and pay attention. But yeah, you still go about your daily life as you can.

My wife worked in Chicago for five years, and I flew back and forth from Los Angeles…one day I left Chicago and when I got to LA, the difference in temperature was 94 DEGREES….an arctic freeze is underway through much of the US midwest right now as well!
