Your silent tents of green

We deck with fragrant flowers

Yours has the suffering been,

The memory shall be ours.

He has a way with words and reminds us

that while our soldiers may have suffered and paid the ultimate price,

it is our duty to remember them.

  1. When 9/11 hit, I was so against going to war in the Middle East. My son, who was 18 at the time, said “Don’t you support our troops?” and I said it was war I didn’t like, and yes I did support our troops. Bob Seger said it way back when in 2+2 “It’s the war, not the soldier, that is my real enemy.”
