I used to love when they passed out instruments in music class! Wood blocks, jingle bells, and so many other fun things!!

we played along with lots of songs and then had a small singing and bells concert in the hall with the other preK children

As kids my siblings and I would be up and about on Christmas Day about 4 AM. One year Santa left me a little xylophone and my sister some kind of tooting thing.
And each of us a doll that sang along.
We made plenty of musical noise that morning! 🙂
I think we probably got a quiet pair of socks and gloves the next Christmas. ;(

I’ve spent much of my life learning to make and control wild sounds. Maybe not control, exactly, but to give them a context in which to exist.

I have a shelf of mostly ocarinas and indigenous flutes from different countries – my grandkids put on a concert once with them. Thanks for bringing back that memory!
