Wow, this is very very interesting! We read about the adjectives order in grade 6 and I remembered it with the acronym OSASCOMP. The IAO totally explains the violation in some cases. This was very interesting and enriching.

I do like reduplication words .. my real one is ‘air-way’ .. and I love the sounds of these ones ..

I used to teach parts of this, but only the adjective order, not the ablaut reduplication. In German it’s simpler because Little Red Riding Hood is all one word: Rotkäppchen.

I was never actually taught this. Once again, I’m SO glad I was born in an English-speaking country and didn’t have to learn it as a second language.
