Tee hee! My Dad liked to embarrass us by wearing tall crazy socks with white pleather shoes, on occasion (the worst possible times!) ha!

I was going to say by wearing ugly shorts by looking at the photo, Beth (and by experience then and now). No to Dave’s explanation, though!

Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there. You’re the best! (And surely none of you ever embarrassed your kids by walking past their friends in just your underwear. Not on purpose, anyway.)

I have appeared wearing just a dressing gown with nothing underneath, but I was suitably covered. Never just in my boxers, honest! :)

Ohhhh, such truth in this! We were embarrassed as kids when my parents had visitors in the tiny living room and we children had to cross it, when we needed a pee. I remember calling for dad to come a ‘make a wall’ so that guests didn’t see me in my nightgown…. he held up a plaid and I walked like a queen to the loo…. unseen, but greatly laughed about!
WE Kinder were embarrassed when dad sat in the bath and he called for mum to bring him a ‘u’…. = underpants…. times are changing!

I admit guilt. Not so much the underwear thing, but to other transgressions.

Thank heavens my father never did that, but then I never brought home VERY few friends. Still, he never walked around in his underwear, not once.

Mine was close to that one. I showed up at my daughter’s track meet on my bicycle, wearing a full white spandex kit. I gave that kit to my son-in-law at their wedding rehearsal, told him it was his job to embarrass her from then forward.
