Best wishes, Pete.

And now I know, too, thank you Beth, having shoveled them into my mouth without looking too closely oh these many years!

I think that was the problem, always shoveling them and never eating them one by one

One by one took a lot of patience, right, Beth?!

I grew up with the commercials that jingled “the snack that smiles back – GOLDFISH”. So I think I cheated by knowing this without having to really look. :)

It was always in the print ads but somehow never translated it to be on the real cracker )

That is some very faulty marketing 😂

I noticed the smile years ago and then forgot about it. Too busy munching, I guess. I don’t recall the commercial at all.

How funny, I’m sure, they were stolen from our Swiss producer (could be HUGE!).

This is just a link to one of the many sellers, they are quite expensive but yes, they’re smiling too. And they make me smile too!

I am with you. Our eyes often fly over everything. Although, you see so many details and it is wonderful that you share them with us and make us aware of the “little” things.

A smile can change the whole world around us. It’s amazing. Back in college a girl thanked me for smiling at her. In CA, soon after I moved there, I was walking on the beach smiling because I couldn’t believe it. A man stopped me and said, “Wow, hardly anyone else smiles on the beach anymore.” I don’t think we are always aware of how powerful our smile might be. In my current state of confusion about the world, I’m relying on my smile to smooth things over. So far so good.

Never noticed the smile either. Not that I eat goldfish often. But next time I do, I will look for the smile. Interesting how details sometimes go unnoticed and then one day we notice them.
