while on our recent visit to the farm
one of the 3-year old kinder
asked the farmers why the windmill wasn’t spinning
after a short discussion about the wind and movement
he put it all together and was happy to know the answer.
when we sat next to each other on the bus for our return to school
he turned to me with a big smile and said,
“you know, i just love, love, love learning.”
and it almost brought me to tears.

Well bless his heart. That attitude is very rare these days among children in all age groups. It’s as though having the opportunity to learn something is a punishment of sorts. On the other hand what too many teachers are indoctrinating kids with is very very inappropriate and often conflicts with wholesome family values.

This is tremendous. Children are so intuitive. And these gorgeous words out of their mouths are pearls of wisdom. May they be that way always.
Thanks for sharing, Beth. 🥹

And don’t you wish you would be around when HE really gets going?
OH didn’t mean you won’t be. But he’s only 3 years old.
YOU must take some credit for his enthusiasm. :)

That’s okay, I’ve tears enough for both of us. I can’t imagine a greater complement for a teacher. And what a wonderful quote. This needs to be emblazoned in the sky for the entire nation to see.
