  1. Or, as I like to think of it, 24 days until winter solstice — shortest day of the year, and thus the beginning of the climb back to summer! (What… you mean everyone doesn’t have a solstice advent calendar? Who knew?)

  2. I am almost ready for inches and inches of snow over the winter. I have been busy buying ingredients for all of the recipes I’m trying. I have the list, but I still haven’t stocked my winter pantry. My favorite part of snow is when I look out at night at the street lamp across the street and watch the flakes dancing in the light. My least favorite part is the big mounds of snow in parking lots and on street corners that are covered with all of the cinder that has been plowed up with the snow.
