I have never seen the film, but the song he is dancing too is by Jamiroquai, one of my favourite English groups! :)
The band is a phenomenon on my blog. After a 2016 post that became my most-read post ever and sparked a series of repeat posts that lasted a long time. Even now, someone views that post every single day.

it was a very eccentric comedy with eccentric characters, and it was so refreshing from the usual thing. the dance scene is iconic and the audience could not hold themselves together watching it. that’s so cool about the music and I’ll check out your post, I ‘ll be your one person viewing it today )

Some smooth moves and some old ones. But dance when you feel like dancing, no matter what others think.

I’ve heard it was good. Along the same lines, have you ever seen “Election”?

loved it. if you liked that, you will like this, offbeat humor and characters, election was a bit darker than Napoleon, but both were excellent films. dark isn’t off-putting for me

I never saw the movie. Looks fun. I love the Japanese proverb you shared and it is very encouraging for me because I used to dance for the public in a church team and I think we kinda looked like that. My thought was I am so glad no one video recorded us🤣

Funny, I just watched the dance scene this morning! ND is one of my faves. I have a ND wig and glasses costume, with a Vote for Pedro tee shirt! Not sure how many times I watched the movie with my daughter when she was a teen, but it was a lot!
It’s a liger.

True snow dance story: When a fellow teacher was playing her homemade CD, a fun dance for the kids to do, the following song on her CD was “Dance To The Music.” She apologized, but I said, “Don’t turn that off!!! It’s the best song!!!” I ran to get rhythm sticks for the kids, and everyone danced to the music.
The following day was a snow day.
Since then, teachers play that song, and dance with rhythm sticks, when there’s a pending snow storm. Like yesterday. It works every time, so looks like no school on Monday.
