  1. Cuteness overload. I‘m in the very lucky position to see ‚this‘ picture weekly. On the same day I meet with other Nordic walkers in the woods nearby, we encounter groups of young children who have their day out in the woods. They find things in nature, learn to know and protect their environment, then they have, weather permitting, a small BBQ or a lunch from their rucksack (so tiny!), the share their experiences, make new friends. I do envy them ever so little because they truly live in a (still) perfect world.

    • I so agree, and this is my class, once a week we have outdoor adventure day, where we spend as much time as possible outdoors for school, so good for all the reasons you’ve said

  2. Outdoor field trips were the best with backpacks to store their treasures.

I once had a field trip at a museum. In the middle of the docent’s presentation, a garter snake escaped one of my student’s pockets. She was mortified, and I was embarassed. He smuggled it onto the bus.
