no, this is not a giant hairy spider
it’s just a conspiracy of ring-tailed lemurs
having a snack at their mobbing planning session.
—
A group of lemurs is called a conspiracy. Lemurs are social animals and live in mini communities of around 10-25 members. As a result of this, they often work together, or ‘conspire’ to outwit predators using a technique called ‘mobbing’.

That’s a great name for a group of Lemurs. They are interesting animals to watch.
Best wishes, Pete.

I’ve only ever seen them in the zoo, but they are so fascinating –

Me too. You have to go to Madagascar to see them in the wild, I understand.

So, the attack on the capitol was done by lemurs? I knew it couldn’t have been human beings.

They do look like a giant spider though. Strange looking creatures that could be the source of nightmares if this picture is shown to folks at bedtime.

yes, at first glance, it is pretty scary

I was curious what a group of spiders is called. A cluster or a clutter. That makes spiders sound so cute and cuddly. NOT!
But lemurs are definitely C&C!

Love that kind of photography (and paintings too) they are called “trompe l’oeil” (cheating the eye) pictures or paintings. Phenomenal!

Conspiracy theorists abound, for good reason. As my mother said, ” many hands make light work”. It’s not always bad.

Oh, I laughed and learned with this one. I didn’t know a group of lemurs was a conspiracy. Makes me think of the movie “Madagascar.”

Had me fooled. I thought this was a tarantula. Maybe we could learn a thing or two from these lemurs. Good things, not bad things. Connecting, not conspiring.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lemme in real life. How big are they? They could do a lot of damage with those tails…

not too big, the size of a medium rodent, and they are very gentle
