i think we all get news overload now and then

good to step away as needed.

‘winning the election is a good-news, bad-news kind of thing.
okay, now you’re the mayor.
the bad news is, now you’re the mayor.’
*clint eastwood, american actor, director, mayor
*Clint Eastwood made a successful foray into elected politics. He won election as mayor in April 1986 (until 1988), of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California (population 4,000), small town and artists’ community on the Monterey Peninsula.

Great cartoon, and Clint summed up politics very well.
Best wishes, Pete.

Critical Thinking is essential when reading news. I want to be sure I read more news sources …. not less.

I gave up on the media during the pandemic… it stressed me out. So I focused on me and things I could do, I am in so much of a better place… now when it comes to sporting news, that’s another matter! Have a great day.

So much is packed into that four-letter word news, Beth. I’ve focused on it so much of my life …

Thanks, Beth…a terrific reminder about ‘puffery’ and gosh…I’d forgotten about Clint as Mayor…my folks lived in California at the time and loved Carmel during Clint’s time as mayor…he had a really cool restaurant and was a frequent face in and around his place and others. Fun memories! 😎

If you ever make it to California, you would love Carmel. It’s a very scenic spot.
