I used to find heart-shaped rocks for Julie. She kept the best ones in a smal box, which is now ‘somewhere’. 😊

I have a few heart-shaped fossils plucked from Texas limestone; they actually were clams, back (way back!) in the day.

Rock on, Beth! George Three and his twin, Patrick, collect rocks and are currently in a BOCES class to sharpen their skills to help polish and shape them to make cool jewelry and other neat things.

Heart shaped rocks are fun to find especially when they are unexpected and you’re not quite looking for them.
It’s amazing to sometimes think about how long they’ve been around and where they’ve travelled from and encountered in their lifetime.

Our front yard is rocked. Beats mowing the grass. They aren’t smooth but they make a nice nap place for the deer.

Love finding heart-shaped rocks! And leaves, and tufts of grass, and… finding hearts in nature feels like God left valentines in our path to remind us of His love! 🧡

I found a rock with a Smiley face once. It still makes me smile when I look at its picture. Left it on the beach in Costa Rica for someone else to see and enjoy!

When I think about it, it may not been just left it for others to enjoy but going thru customs and them finding a rock in my luggage may not have gone so well.

I collect heart-shaped rocks too. Somewhat easier now in my dottage since I have to look down to watch my step. Did you know there’s a Heart-Shaped Rock group on Facebook? Some real finds displayed by that group!

Oh, I love this. I was trying to figure out why my 5-yr-old’s backpack was so heavy. He was carrying around rocks… You’re right – they have magic!

Why do we love rocks so much? I collect heart shaped rocks as well..along with Petosky stones and driftwood and pinecones and shells and lichen covered twigs and feathers, etc. I should of been a woodland gnome or a forest fairy. :) Chris

One of my friends does the painted rocks thing with positive messages on them with college students and scatters them around campus.

Another thing we have in common– a love of rocks (except the kind you have to pick from farm fields). These days I especially like finding painted rocks (which are really stones, but everyone calls them rocks). Happy rock hunting.

The minute I saw the photo, I wanted to be there in that glorious rock room. Children love rocks! Every find is a wonder in itself. I’m with them, all the way. Finding a heart shaped rock is like finding gold.
