downtown again.

Standard

an afternoon venture to detroit

on a sunny fall day

for lunch at a delightful tiny restaurant

located in a rescued classic building

in the heart of the city

easy, delicious, beautiful

just what we needed.

“people talk about wanting amenities – downtown is the amenity.”

-jack white,

american musician and owner of third man record label and pressing plant in detroit

      • You’re right. He’s not all the expensive. You know how I keep the dogs in kibbles, right? We just reprinted Mary Chapin Carpenter’s Stones in the Road for its 40th anniversary. 500 copies cost 4x what Third Man charges. OTH , our production team turned a single album into a double album because of the improved quality. Nice thick grooves.

  1. Detroit is a city I’d love to explore one day. So much culture and history.

I agree with the Jack White quote. As I get older, I’ve grown an aversion to downtown and urban places. But a visit from time to time can feel invigorating.
