That’s a good-looking loaf. Sourdough bread has become very popular and ‘trendy’ here over the past few years. I don’t actually like the taste of it!
Best wishes, Pete.

As much as I love homemade bread, taking a bite out of Jack would feel like a crime.

During the pandemic, we did a lot of baking. My favourite was doing a no bake key lime pie with him.

How fun is that? And how cool that I have begun making my own sourdough and other types of bread!

I’ve become a tad obsessed in the last two weeks!
And I apologise profusely. Thank you for the nudge. It was in my drafts and had slipped my mind. You should have it now.

I totally get the bread making obsession and feel like I’ll have another round of it. No worries at all, exactly what I figured

It’s so cool when it works out. And the one who gave me her baby is so proud of my efforts. She got to have some Saturday. I’m pleased at lunch they all loved them. (Black olive and oregano and Plain ole sourdough).
Thank you for your patience!

Is there anything more “homey” than the smell of baking bread! I am much too fond of bread in all forms, perhaps because I grew up just 3 or 4 blocks from a huge Wonder Bread bakery. When the wind was out of the east, the smell could drive you crazy.

French or sourdough bread are two of my biggest weaknesses. And not a day goes by when I’m not having a toasted bagel with cream cheese or peanut butter.

I can almost smell and taste that bread. There’s nothing like the scent of bread filling the house. And then that first slice still warm from the oven, butter melting across the surface. Yum.
