do not wash this car.

Standard

when you see a dirty car

someone will often

write ‘wash me’ on it

but on this one

there was no writing

only cool artwork

hope it stays just like this for a while longer

so more people can appreciate it

as much as I did.

‘i see art in everything. your shoes. that car. this coffee cup. it’s art if you see it as art.’

  1. I love artwork on cars; I’ve posted a few shots of cars in our area displaying art; from memory it was from ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ ; I would like to see something from an Aussie classic like ‘The Magic Pudding’ —

  2. I have sorta been under the care of my daughter for the past several months and has she ever been stirring up the dust! Literally .. cough cough. Moving the furniture, sweeping the floors and rearranging some plastic flowers. A little spit can do wonders.
I’ve stopped asking where this or that is because I might be tempted to go to the Good Will and buy it back.
She is also a health food nut and I rather drew the line there!

  3. Beautiful art! And I love the Warhol quote, Beth. It’s a good reminder of how perception matters in life. It’s the same thing but can be viewed and experience in so many different ways. So let’s choose to look at it with beauty and wonder.

  4. Kind of reminds me of the time I painted Love peace signs on the doors of our car. I wanted to surprise my husband. He was really surprised and we got a different care shortly thereafter. I think it’s better to just do artwork in the dust or dirt on the car. Definitely. I was young and a hippy, seemed like the right thing to do. He didn’t say anything, not really. Finally he told me it looked nice but he didn’t think it was a good idea to drive it to work. LOLOLOL OMG I can’t believe I did it. With acrylic paint, no less.
