Browndog Creamery has teamed with Better Made Snack Foods to create three flavors of ice cream
together, the two Michigan companies have created some unusual flavors
it’s the creamy, refreshing collaboration you never knew you needed
On top of the three Better Made snack flavors below, Browndog has added to its Faygo partnership with Faygo Root Beer Float ice cream, in addition to its lineup of a half dozen other Faygo flavors.
“This isn’t just ice cream, it’s Detroit in a scoop.” said Paul Gabriel, Co-Founder of Browndog Creamery. “We’re honored to team up with two hometown icons to bring you something bold, unexpected, and ridiculously delicious.”
The three Better Made Browndog flavors are:
- Detroit Mix – Cheddar cheese popcorn ice cream swirled with salted caramel.
- Snack Attack – Peanut butter ice cream with chocolate-covered Better Made pretzels.
- Motown Chip – Malted vanilla ice cream with chocolate-covered Better Made potato chips and caramel ribbons.

well, it’s that sweet and salty and crunch factor, and people here are very loyal to that brand, so it may do well as a novelty – I’d try it

I am not so sure about those conbinations. I stick to my beloved just chocolate or Vanilla flavours. :-) I might be just too traditional….

I’m not a big ice cream fan, so I’ll pass on these (more for the rest of you). I’ve made exceptions for a few flavors over the years: maple walnut (in NY), bourbon praline pecan (discontinued?), and cherries, pecans, and cream (Braums in OK). Apparently it’s the kiss of death for me to love a particular flavor.

Okay, these new flavours are out of my exotic range. Still, I see many liking them.
Vanilla malted, without the extras sounds heavenly.
I’m so boring.

Nice to see new flavors, especially root beer float. The only milkshake I ever order is root beer. I usually have to tell them how to make it, vanilla ice cream with root beer syrup.

Okay, I’d very much like to hear your thoughts if you try these. The first and third flavors hurt my brain but it’s a personal stumbling block. There are two local places that sell a very popular maple bacon doughnut (with actual bacon pieces on top) and make me cringe but that salty/sweet combo has a loyal following.

I wondered about the name Faygo. A search revealed that the soda company was founded by Russian immigrant bakers Ben and Perry Feigenson. They originally called it The Feigenson Brothers Bottling Works, and later turned that into the much shorter Faygo.

I do have my food limits too, but I am willing to try most ice creams, especially because I grew up with all of these Detroit snacks that are mixed in )
