with such a huge construction crew and a big job to get done
it’s lucky there’s a kitchen and a break area close by
it’s all about the work/break balance.

Most days I just sit and wait for the break.”

I would love to have had something like that to play with when I was at junior school. We just had an asphalt playground to run around in.
Best wishes, Pete.

Oh that would be fun! A break from the backyard and a trip to the park… looks like cleanup is minimal… it stays at the park. It’s a win-win.

I love what that photo stands for. A moment in time so precious and fleeting! And yes, those breaks and thinking about those breaks help us get through the days!

Yes, I reminds me of my childhood and I saw the kitchen mixed with the construction and it made think of adult work situations

I have good memories of my little construction projects. My break would be climbing a tree.

Our son would have been in paradise with a scene like this. I’ve probably shared this with you before, but one of the games we played when he was little to pass the time was to count construction vehicles. When he’d start to get tired, he’d ask us to keep counting while he snoozed. He’d wake up and immediately ask, “How many vehicles are we up to now?”
“Um, I think it’s 47,” I’d say, looking at my wife for confirmation.
Our son would shake his head vigorously. “It was 58 before I went to sleep!”
OOPS, busted! 🤣🤣🤣

That is so cute and funny! I’d suggest that both your son and grandson might enjoy this book. It is an alternative take on good night moon. The construction version.
‘Good night, Good night, Construction Site.’ it’s super cute and I think it’s sold at target.

It’s funny. The other day, on my morning run/walk, I came across a similar situation. Only, they seemed to have been abandoned overnight – must have left for the dinner/bedtime break in a rush!

these are left in the parks for the kids to play with and I love the idea

Now I am on a permanent break after years of real work. However, still pretty busy doing all the things I love doing, particularly, travel. So busy …so will take a break during my permanent break…..ahhhhhhh.

That is such a cool photo. I miss my kids being young enough to actually enjoy the outdoors and sandboxes – before video games took over! 😒

They could play for hours with these things
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, they could! I miss those days. My son has a full 8 bins of toys that he stopped playing with – slowly- by the time he was 6. It’s sad.
Video games and the internet took over. I try to get him outside these days for sports at least.

What a great idea that these construction toys are left, abandoned, for any construction worker to use. :)

Exactly, and they leave them until it freezes outside

I love these qoutes. And I saw you mentioned that they leave these toys out at the playground for the kids?… that’s awesome. They’re blessed to live in such a community.

there’s still time to get back in there. and it’s clear in this sand box that the whole crew is on break so it’s a pretty relaxed schedule –
