did it!
kept a house plant alive
long enough
(three whole weeks almost)
for it to bloom and thrive!
(okay, so it didn’t need dirt or water, but who cares about the details?)
way up high
away from the felines
away from the over/under water-er
away from the over/under feeder
away from over/under attention-giver
and there it is
my curse is broken
swear my thumb is looking a bit green.

Well done with that, Beth. Julie received an orchid as part of a Christmas present, and has also managed to keep it alive since the 23rd of December! 😊
Best wishes, Pete.

love that quote, and you with your Theo are a great example of helping a tiny plant to thrive

I’m not a good gardener, I tend to be the “over” type, so Theo has done well to survive and thrive 💚

Congratulations on keeping the plant alive. ☺️ This made me giggle.
I’ve always wanted to try my hand at planting, but I’m almost sure mine would NOT survive.
Do you remember the Saved by the Bell episode with the Bonsai tree?
That’s what this reminded me of. 😆
Have a blessed week my friend.

I was gonna make a morbid joke, “And now, it can die.” 🤣 But in all seriousness, the bloom is beautiful and congrats on keeping it alive, especially with cats in the house (a reason we don’t hav plants in our home)! A beautiful colour for the white of winter.

this is way up high and no way for them to get to it, so I don’t have to worry and the plant must feel safe as well ). I like you joke as well, solid dark humor )

Given my black thumb and two resident pets, I gave up houseplants several decades ago. Looks like you found a way around all that. Congratulations!

We have had pretty good luck with plants in our current residence…clearly learning from soooo many prior mistakes elsewhere.😁

Oooo. yeah, that can be a problem. Lisa and I have become doubtful about ever wanting animals in our house. We both love animals, but, well, we kind of like our living space to be ours!

you can put them out of reach or choose plants that are not dangerous for them
