frost, ice, sleet, and snow
some of you may remember the beauty of this lovely place
I visited last summer on my the first time
in the upper peninsula of michigan

KITVCHITIKIPI is Michigan’s largest natural freshwater spring. The name means “big cold spring” in the Ojibwe language. It’s located in Palms Book State Park in Manistique, Michigan. USA

I prefer a frosty drink. I fear I’m going to see a lot of frost this weekend. Might even be able to suck on a southern icicle.

Have you two ever ventured to the UP? If not I’d say you should do a summer adventure there – lots of cool places, chefs in the woods, northern lights , unique landscapes and foods , right up your alley

Well, our pond heater is doing its job, keeping a hole in the ice, so I’m assuming they’re okay. Time (spring) will tell!

My poppa always joked that Northern Michigan has only two seasons… August and winter! I do need to see that most enchanting cold spring, my next venture north.

We talked to our son yesterday. It was supposed to be -19 last night in South Dakota. Praying that the homeless are able to find shelter in this massive cold storm.

yes, these are the people who I worry about as well. many cities are open public spaces such as libraries and community centers to unhoused people

that is a raft that you can get on and pull across the spring. I did it this summer when visiting. it is a protected native american land and park.
