one of the friendly deer
at the mall’s spring easter bunny display
reached her limit and is way overtired
from all of the holiday hullabaloo
now taking a much overdue nap.
her friend and fellow actor
stands daydreaming
waiting to move on to their next gig
hoping for a nice earth day spot
in the shade of an ancient tree at a state park
near a quiet freshwater stream
filled with a playful and friendly otter family.

I’m glad it’s a nap. I thought maybe the baby bunnies were getting revenge for stealing their holiday spotlight. Good to know. Ha ha. 🤣🤣🤣🐣

Beautiful, Beth. When the body is tired, there is no shame in taking a little nap.
I hope her bosses understand.

Love your sense of humour. Standing at attention all day is exhausting! I’m surprised the other is still standing :)

A well-deserved nap indeed! After all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s great to see our friendly deer taking time for self-care. May their next adventure be as lovely as a sunny day by the water! I am Emily from https://galaxyonknowledge.blogspot.com
