ahoy!

Standard

a beautiful morning spent paddling in the detroit canals and on the river

 not long after

we began this perfect day

it looked as though we’d been traversing the atlantic for weeks

having weathered the storms, sea, sharks, pirates, and the slightly bigger boats

catching rainwater in our hoods

eating our last pack of dry ramen

thanks, for the adventure, friends

best day ever!

kayak vending machine

easy peasy

now if this isn’t a brilliant idea, i don’t know what is-

Independence Oaks County Park now has a brand new kayak vending machine.
The cost to rent a kayak from the machine is $25 for the first 2 hours,
then $10 an hour after that. We’ll see you on the water!
“i want to make a vending machine that sells vending machines. it’d have to be real big.”

kayaking through detroit’s canals

that i never knew existed

with detroit river sports

then paddling into the detroit river

bounded on either side by the united states and canada

learning history and tales of

bootlegging, river islands, mansions, auto barons, inventors, and boatmen

finishing with a lovely relaxed dinner

canal side

at coriander kitchen and farm

fresh farm to table fare

all in the heart of the city.
