took a ride on the q line train
in detroit city
on it’s inaugural weekend
so full of happy people
got off at campus martius
a downtown oasis
sat on the beach
created right in the middle of the city
for outdoor summer adventures
enjoyed wonderful cuban jazz
live and in color
plus a little guy who couldn’t resist sitting in with the band
a natural improv artist of the highest order
the energy in the city was contagious.

“a city isn’t so unlike a person. they both have the marks to show they have many stories to tell.
they see many faces. they tear things down and make new again.”
