  1. Ha! Cute Beth. It reminds me of a funny occurrence. I was driving west in a tractor-trailer on Hwy 401 (Canada’s busiest highway that links Toronto and Montreal) in a blinding snowstorm. They have large electronic advisory signs along the road that flash messages 24/7. They are on wheels (so they can be moved to construction zones and such) and remotely programmable (someone in an office somewhere types the message in and can change it at will). The winds were so high that the sign had blown over but was still working , flashing its message “DANGER: HIGH WINDS AND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS: DRIVE WITH CARE” From high up in the truck cab I could look down and see the message flashing. I was running in a convoy so I picked up the CB mic, brought the attention of the other drivers to the sign, and said that there should be a new message on any sign that had been blown over: “HELP I’VE FALLEN OVER AND CAN’T GET UP” A voice came back on the CB: “You know, you have way too much free time to think.”

  2. I like it when something in your life makes such an obvious statement and you capture it on film and share it with us. This is not your ordinary street sign. It is ‘down for the count,’ Beth! smiles!
