People are people. It really does anger me that we are judged not on the content of our character. In this instance, Mr. Rogers got it right.

What a good guy. Here’s a fun fact: Fred Rogers’ family home is a block up from where we raised our daughter and lived for 18 years. The local (old, 1900’s style) amusement park has a little train ride through “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” – kind of cute except when we had just taken my daughter there (then age 3) on the train ride, she developed a 104 fever during the night and kept talking about “Ting Fwiday and the light in the tunnel”.
I’m not from this area, but acquaintences have told me stories about knowing him as they were growing up. Seems he’s always been a great person. So, we can say we live almost literally in Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood:0)). Thanks for the quote!

fred did it the right way, though. heck, sesame street did, too. it was diversity for the sake of inclusion, not for appearances or other motivation.

Yes, this is so true. Just the other day I saw a fantastic post on the responsibility of parents to discipline their children. I believe all of these responsibilities go hand in hand.

This picture reminds me of a wreath I once saw made from yarn dolls. It was handmade from a person in Nepal. So colorful…I loved it. Love the picture, too!
