f visits the garden
by the lake
kneels down
to talk to the bumblebees
to see them up close
then befriends them
as they
learn more about each other
full of calm and peace
without fear
and after they make
a short visit to his place
gently
puts them back
where he found them
and says
goodbye for now.
the garden suggests there might be a place where we can meet nature halfway.

I believe it. I used to catch and release bees when I was young but I could never get one to sit calmly on my hand. Impressive.

Our local Art House recently made some bee-friendly seed bombs for us to throw onto wasteland. We love bees :)

Love this. We used to have a wasp nest near our front door. For two years, the wasps flew in and out, never bothered us at all. I was sad when a bad winter storm finally knocked it free.

absolutely. and being afraid didn’t even cross his mind, he just wanted to talk to the bees and was so excited when one sat on his hand and let him hold him as long as he wanted.

Gosh, he’s cute. All I have to do is exist and bees want to sting me. My husband will go up to a bee and put it in his hand and stroke it, like petting a cat. What the heck?

I am very tickled to see this sweet F and his ability to commune with a bee, Beth. Love this absolutely precious. I have respected bees and won’t spray or swat at them since Jerry Seinfeld and the animated movie about the bees came out. Skyler was 2 or 3, I think. :)
