this is an amazing turn of events.
ann arbor’s washtenaw dairy has begun delivering doughnuts friday and saturday nights! they deliver from 9 pm to 2 am within a 3 mile radius of the dairy. depending on demand, the delivery time is 30-45 minutes. the minimum order is one dozen and at least 12 hours notice is needed for orders of more than 10 dozen. doughnuts are $9 a dozen, with a $2 delivery charge. call the dairy to order between 9 pm and 2 am.

I would love to be the delivery person. I want to know who is ordering doughnuts after midnight, they sound like they might be an interesting crew.

I’ve been saying this to my family for the past year: Why don’t they have donuts at night, when I always crave them? It’s like the Sunday Chic Fil-A catch 22. All our donut shops close at 1pm. Now you are speaking my dream into life! BTW, have you seen the new Jud Hirsch TV show “Superior Donuts?” It was on last night.

It’s almost midnight here and I’d kill for some of those donuts. I have an incurable case of Donut Disease. Anywhere, any time, any kind, as long as they’re fresh. (The other delivery I’m holding out for is Mexican food … )

This could be very dangerous, except for those calling the suicide hotline. Anyone in the area who does should automatically get sent a dozen donuts.

$9 a dozen seems high. That’s more than a dollar a donut! Even our specialty donuts (sprinkles, etc., none of which I like) are only 75¢ each here in my neck of the woods. It would be cool if they would deliver, though.

good news – it actually does work out to 75 cents each because they are delivering 12 (a dozen) and yes the delivery thing is great –
