some of my favorite people
lots of bad gifts
beautiful food
morning drinks
strong coffee
live jazz
a pinata
and
a full morning of laughter.

That does look like what a book club is supposed to look like. It’s just too bad, in a way, that today even book lovers are more likely to have seen the same movie than read the same book.

eleanor oliphant is completely fine. here is a comment from one of our members the day before our brunch. “Oh hell I’m not even going to pretend I even know what book you are all talking about!”. that is our group.
