such a wonderful discovery made
when walking in a park near my daughter’s house
an illustrated storybook trail
with pages spread throughout the woods
placed there by the village and the local library
a perfect pairing.

What a PERFECTLY WONDERFUL way of make children discover reading, books, stories….. We could never do that in Switzerland, with all the rain 🙂

Yes! They are covered in a protective plastic casing and they can change stories every month

We (the Liverpool Public Library that is) put StoryWalk books on our Dinosaur Garden lawn, Beth, and bring them to the big Onondaga Lake Park for our Tuesday Storytime in the Park in the summer, too. I love seeing this permanent book display trail you have in Ann Arbor!

That’s a neat idea. I think nature has a lot to tell us and children and using stories along the way can certainly enhance the effort. 🙂

What a great idea! We have books in protective boxes placed around town and at parks. You take a book and leave a book.
