remembering those placemats that taught us about our country

“justice is conscience, not a personal conscience but the conscience of the whole of humanity,
those who clearly recognize the voice of their own conscience usually recognize also the voice of justice.”

Wow! You pose a question I have no answer for. What would they say now? At least the answers to the one you picture here have not changed yet.

I went to Florida in 1990 and we used to eat ad Denny’s. The children collected little rubber models of the planets of the solar system. I don’t think that we managed to get all of them.

what a marvellous idea: place-mats that tell us about our country: don’t know if it’s been tried here ?

There were all kinds of them back in the day

All of the ideals that we’ve been taught, such as justice for all, seem a bit hollow.

many restaurants had them, presidents, history, dinosaurs, etc. I loved them

the place mats do seem like a nice way to pass the time while you are waiting for your food…

And you can color on them and throw them away! Probably not as common these days due to environmental concerns

I remember! I wish kids had these at restaurants today.
