You hear that advice a lot. Usually, they give you a little more than a sentence, though, to hook the reader:) I’m with the cat. Tuna would hook me. Love tuna salad!

I love this! I’m currently in my final edit (I said that last time) of a short story I’ve been working on. Its the very first paragraph that sets the tone of the rest of the story that I keep coming back to and tweaking. One chance to make a good first impression. I gotta drive that hook in deep.
