the class discovered this tree with magical writing all over it
and even though he’s only mastered the alphabet this year
‘a’ chose to read it out loud to everyone
in his own magical language
a master translator at work.

  15. Reminds me of an arborglyph I made as a child. My initials and a best friend’s. I’ve occasionally been tempted to go back and look for it, even though I feel a bit guilty about having “decorated” a tree.
